Discovery tandem flight

From Bandipur (1250m) to Marsyangdi valley and Sarangkot hill (1500m) down to Pokhara (800m), a first flight experience with exceptional mountain Views of Ganesh Himal, Manasalu, Annapurnas and iconic Peak Machhapuchhre (also known as Fishtail). Feel the sensation of flying in thermal conditions, (rising more than 500 m from the take-off point), from there we fly cross-country with the birds, over the local countryside. You will see the rice fields, traditional villages and the people working in the fields before we fly over the lake, offering the chance to do a little acrobatic flying (if you want to!), before landing beside the lakeside.

First time? No worries, experience is not required! Tandem flying is when a certified pilot flies with a passenger. Both pilot and passenger sit in harnesses that are attached to each other and the wing. A paragliding harness is designed for safety and comfort, and is like sitting in a comfy chair. After an easy take-off, the passenger sits back and relaxes…enjoying the epic scenery and breathing the mountain air.

Bring with you strong shoes, and a windproof jacket. A calm scenic float, or an acrobatic tumbling routine, your choice…just tell the pilot your preference. Flights last from 20 to 30 minutes, depending on weather conditions, and you!

Cross country tandem flight- +1 hour

Cross-country flight is for those people who want to experience more about paragliding- to fly into uncharted territory, with only the birds and the wind for company. Cross country flight is recommended for people who have already flown a tandem flight!

We take off from Sarangkot(1500m) and depend upon the weather conditions we can cross the lake, or many of the other unspoiled valleys in the area, following the Seti, or perhaps the Mardi River, reaching altitudes of between 2500m and 3400m before returning to Pokhara by air, or perhaps by bus or taxi!

One of the best experiences of the Himalayas- everyone should try it once in their lives!!!

Nearly an expedition!!! We leave early in the morning by bus or taxi, between 1 and 3 hours of Pokhara to fly over the real Nepal, and try to come back to Pokhara by flight. Or we go from Pokhara by fly to sleep in the mountain and come back the next days by fly.

• Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
  Welcome at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
  Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
  Today you will visit the temples of Pashupatinath and Baudhanath. Pashupatinath is the most important Hindu temple in the country and Bodnath is one of the largest Budhist Stupas in the world and home to a large Tibetan population. You may wish to visit the Durbar Square area of Kathmandu or Swoyambhunath- the monkey temple, in the afternoon.
  Day 03: Drive to Bandipur
  Transfer to the first flying site to Bandipur for our first quiet fly.
  Relax at the hotel in the afternoon.
  Day 04: Bandipur and Marsyangdi valley
  Expedition to new flying site. Fly and transfer to your hotel.
  Day 05: Drive to Pokhara
  Jeep drive to Sarangkot hill (1500 m) for a flight and a small cross. Great views of the Manasalu, Annapurnas and the Machhapuchare.
  Day 06: Pokhara and Madre dunga
  Briefing and cross-country around Pokhara.
  Day 07: Pokhara to Diki Danga Expedition
  Cross country flight from Pokhara to the first hill of Annapurnas.
  Day 08: Expedition
  Expedition by jeep, 1 hrs 30min. from Pokhara and return to Pokhara by flight.
  Day 09: Expedition in the Andhi Khola valley
  Fly in Pokhara. We will fly about 3 times a day or less if you stay in the air. We can make several cross country flight from Sarangkot take off.
  Day 10: Andhi-khola valley
  We take an early start and drive 3 hours to our camping place in the Andhi Khola valley. This is an amazing place with 360° view over the Dhaulagiri, Annapurnas and Manaslu. The surrounding hills are terraced with rice and millet fields and doted with tiny traditional villages.
  Today we will fly on the spot, thermaling and soaring flight. We will have a dinner in one of the local villages. No restaurants here so you may enjoy the true Nepali dishes (excellent Dal Bhat), eat with your fingers and share some Nepali wine with the locals.
  Day 11: Andhi Khola - Pokhara
  Wake up at sunrise to enjoy the magnificent scenery. You have time to take some pictures in the village nearby. After lunch, briefing and fly cross country to Pokhara! A superb 40 km cross!!!
  We follow the valley so you can land easily at any time.
  Day 12: Pokhara
  Fly or sightseeing in Pokhara.
  Day 13: Pokhara - Kathmandu
  In the morning, transfer to Kathmandu. Afternoon at leisure in Kathmandu.
  Day 14: Depart Kathmandu
  Transfer to the airport for the flight back home.
